History of New Vision Ministries
New Vision Ministries was founded by Dr. Kerry and Joy Reeves in 2005. They moved their family to Montrouis, Haiti in 2009 to serve Christ by serving the spiritual and eye care needs of Haiti. They worked closely with Pastor Cesar in St. Marc who had eight churches and schools in the area.
Following the devastating earthquake in January 2010, God expanded the scope of New Vision Ministries to include an orphanage, a ministry to earthquake refugees, a growing student sponsorship program, a ministry to fishermen, and an elderly feeding program involving women in the fishing village.
As the ministry continued to grow, Dr. Dennis and Sara Cowley and Dr. Tom and Carolyn Hatten felt God’s call to move to Haiti to work with the Reeves and New Vision Ministries in the areas of medical/eye care and education. In the summer of 2012, after returning to America for a much needed break, the Reeves determined God was leading them to remain in America and address the needs of their family.
Since that time, the Cowleys and Hattens have headed up New Vision ministries with the assistance of the New Vision board in North Carolina and many other stateside partners.
