Clinics

Everyday people here go blind and even die from preventable diseases. We spend much of our time seeing eye and medical patients in clinics.

We have both stationary and mobile clinics. We have a stationary clinic at our mission in Montrouis as well as a clinic in a mission hospital 20 minutes down the road. We perform remote clinics in all areas of the country from Port au Prince to the Artibonite valley and inland mountains. We are working on a project to provide eye care to Haitian immigrants working in Dominican sugar cane fields as well.

We use short term medical teams to help with the clinics. We have a group of surgeons that come down to perform surgeries as well. We have our first set of cataract surgeries scheduled for August of 2011.
